WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Rep. Mark Messmer (R-IN) voted in the House of Representatives in favor of two resolutions — H. Res. 481 and H. Res. 488 — denouncing the recent antisemitic violence in America, including the murder of two Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington, D.C., the horrific firebomb assaults upon Jewish demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado, and the arson attack on the home of the Pennsylvania Governor. The resolutions, introduced by Reps. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) and Gabe Evans (R-CO), also reaffirm Congress’ commitment to fighting and ending antisemitism wherever it exists. “I am proud to have voted for this important legislation. It is unacceptable that the Jewish community in our country is facing such appalling hatred and violence,” said Rep. Messmer. “In passing these resolutions, Congress is sending a clear message that we stand strongly against antisemitism and in support of all Americans.” H. Res. 481, sponsored by Rep. Jefferson Van Drew (R-N.J.), expresses that Congress fully condemns the rise of antisemitic attacks across the United States, including the June 1, 2025, terrorist attacks upon Jewish Americans in Boulder, Colorado, the May 21, 2025, murder of two Israeli embassy staffers, and the April 13, 2025, attempted assassination of the Jewish Governor of Pennsylvania. H. Res. 488, sponsored by Rep. Gabe Evans (R-Colo.), specifically denounces the antisemitic terrorist attack that occurred in Boulder, Colorado. The attacker shouted hateful slogans that call for the destruction of the state of Israel and violence against the Jewish people. The resolution also expresses appreciation for all law enforcement officers, including ICE agents, for keeping Americans safe. To read more about what Rep.
