Messmer and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy Announce Support for New Bridge at I-69 Ohio River Crossing

Evansville, IN, September 8, 2025

EVANSVILLE, IN – Rep. Mark Messmer (R-IN) joined Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and other Indiana and Kentucky leaders to rally support for the ongoing bridge project at the I-69 Ohio River Crossing between Evansville, IN and Henderson, KY.

“The bridge that connects southern Indiana with our friends in Kentucky will create new economic opportunities by establishing a major international freight corridor right here in Indiana’s 8th District,” said Rep. Messmer. “Secretary Duffy and our partners in Indiana and Kentucky look forward to the great impact this infrastructure project will have on our communities!”

I-69 Ohio River Crossing will connect Henderson, Kentucky, and Evansville, Indiana, and will complete a generational project that has been decades in the making.
